What is a three-phase hybrid inverter?

A three-phase hybrid inverter converts energy generated by a solar array for use in a property with a three-phase electricity supply. Its hybrid design also allows compatible battery storage to be integrated into the solar energy system.

How do I know whether my home has three-phase power?

Your switchboard, electricity meter or existing electrical documentation may indicate the type of connection. An accredited solar installer or licensed electrician can confirm it safely before recommending an inverter.

Does a three-phase inverter automatically produce more power?

No. This range has rated output options of 5kW and 6kW. Its three-phase architecture means the inverter is designed for a compatible three-phase electricity connection and provides balanced three-phase output.

Can the inverter connect to an iStore battery?

Yes. The inverter is compatible with an appropriately configured iStore ESS battery system from 5–30kWh. Final battery capacity and configuration must be confirmed as part of the system design.

What does 250% PV oversizing mean?

PV oversizing refers to the solar-panel capacity connected to the inverter. The 5kW model supports recommended maximum PV power of 12.5kWp, while the 6kW model supports up to 15kWp under the specified design conditions.

It does not increase the inverter’s rated AC output. Final array sizing must remain within the inverter’s voltage and current limits and comply with applicable standards.

Can the inverter be installed outdoors?

The inverter has an IP65-rated enclosure that supports indoor or outdoor installation. Its final position must comply with the installation manual, required clearances and local installation conditions.

Can I monitor solar and battery performance remotely?

Yes. Once properly installed and commissioned, Univers EMS monitoring provides supported online and mobile access to information including solar production and compatible battery performance.

What warranty applies to the inverter?

The inverter includes a 10-year parts-and-labour warranty plus a complimentary two-year parts-only extension, subject to the applicable warranty terms and conditions.
